Pre-FEED Engineering
The beginning stages of a project are imperative. A pre-FEED provides project developers with the greatest ability to influence capital and operational expenditures, as well as the overall risk profile. We offer concept and pre-FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) studies to support decision-making in this critical period. DeepCWind empowers you to make the right moves, ensuring every choice you make is informed, strategic, and in alignment with your goals
FEED & Detailed Engineering
DeepCWind provides wholly integrated design services for the implementation of the VolturnUS & VolturnUS + Technology. We have a strong core team and multiple specialty design firms that can be brought onboard for project execution.
We provide improved design packages that are to be fabricated, installed, and operated for the design life (typically 25-30 years).
Metocean Data Collection
DeepCWind, in close partnership with Woods Hole Group, provides the use of a high-tech LIDAR metocean buoy. This service can be utilized in remote marine environments to provide high-quality, low-cost offshore wind resource data, metocean monitoring, and ecological characterization capabilities for your project.
T&I and Hull Fabrication Solutions
Floating wind projects are highly complex, requiring a deep understanding of the technology, interfaces, and interdependencies. DeepCWind has strong relationships with major contractors for construction and installation. Additionally, DeepCWind offers solutions to support the supervision and management of project execution phases, from fabrication to offshore commissioning, to ensure that your project is built to specification.
Design with Integrated Scale Model Testing
In partnership with The University of Maine, DeepCWind uniquely integrates scale offshore model testing as part of the design process to verify integrated loads analysis and ensure project performance. The facility at UMaine accurately scales wind and wave conditions with an operational turbine, called the Wind Wave Laboratory or W2 for short.
